Hi there friends. Today's blog post is showcasing the latest Inspired by Stamping Challenge blog inspiration plus a card I made with the challenge in mind. For more info on this challenge, you may click here. 

Just For you card

I love the masculine colors in the inspiration. It's very rare that I get to work with blue, brown and green and as you can see in my card, because I'm so used to feminine touches, I couldn't help but do the same in this project. I guess it just shows that old habits are hard to break. :)

I used this stamp set for the ornate circle accent and this one for my sentiment (both of them are from Inspired by Stamping). I wanted to thread a ribbon through my picket fence border punch paper and I also wanted to incorporate the color scheme of the challenge so I spray misted a strand of white ribbon blue to match my color scheme. I am loving how misting and painting can make the world of difference with what we already have in our stash.

My Friend card

I love the color combos and I used the green one as my background page. I added some blacks in the mix which made the rest of the colors pop out. Don't you think?

To dress up my circle accent that housed my card sentiment, I added tiny pearls all around it. I used this stamp from Inspired by Stamping for the sentiment.

Happy hump day. The latest IBSIC challenge prompt is up and here's my take on the beautiful color scheme and photo inspiration.

Princess Wishes card

I used the new Princess stamp for this card. I used three different cardstock and stamped the want image so I can incorporate all the colors in the challenge in my card. 

I used some foam adhesive to make the wants stand out against the background and tied them with some twine. 

I love the swirl font in the sentiment stamp. Inspired by Stamping is great at this. They have a ton of lovely sentiment stamps in the store. You can check them here.

Happy Hump Day friends. Today's the reveal for the latest IBSIC blog and here's the prompt...

A Gift For You card

I wanted to be a little bit of a rebel with this card so instead of using the pinks and greens predominantly in my project, which is the colors that were focused more in the photo, I decided to use the kraft color for my background. Kraft is such a neat neutral base that the pinks and greens popped out better in my card. I also added some whites in there to have a "buffer" between colors. 

I added the scallop velvet pink trim because it reminded me of the fancy edge of the pedestal shown in the photo. 

I used this stamp and this die cut set from Inspired by Stamping in my card.

It's that time of the week again...where I share with you the latest challenge prompt over at IBSIC and reveal my take on the challenge...

Best Wishes card

I wanted to add some texture to the light pink cardstock background so I ran it through my Cuttlebug die cut machine with the swirl embossing folder. I think adding some dry embossing technique can make any cardstock from ho-hum to amazing in just a few seconds. 

I used this and this stamps for the sentiment of the card. I also used this die cut to match with my stamped image.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Today I'm sharing with you the latest challenge inspiration over at the Inspired by Stamping challenge blog. My favorite color is purple, I even used the lighter hue lavender as my wedding colors so when I saw the color combination in the inspiration board, I was ecstatic. See it for yourself...

and here's my take on the inspiration...

A gift for you card

The drapes/curtains in the image also inspired me so I cut the bottoms of my pattern papers into ribbon notches and made them all go vertical kinda like how the curtains where displayed.

I used this stamp set for the circles and this one for the sentiment both from Inspired by Stamping on this card.

and as an added bonus, IBSIC is now adding a new monthly challenge to go with the inspiration board challenges. This month we want you to use bows in your projects.

Happy Valentine's day friends! I hope you have a great "hearts" day. I have a day full of activities but before I go out and "spread the love" let me share with you the latest challenge at IBSIC...

I love the soft colors on the inspiration board. Oh and those cupcakes are making me feel hungry too. *wink*

and here's my take on the inspiration..

You are so thoughtful card

I used the brown as the background for my card. I love how the dark color made all my lighter colors stand out. I used white as a secondary primary color. It was a great neutral to connect all the colors together.

I decided to layer a lace over silk ribbon in this card. The pink lace added some texture to the otherwise plain white ribbon.

I used some Inspired by Stamping stamps to create my sentiment. I also used IBS die for matting my sentiment block. I added the doile in the back because it reminded me of the sweet cupcake in the inspiration board.

IBSIC Challenge #44

pretty huh? I love the colors and the accent chosen. Here's my take on this week's challenge...

Missing You card

I used the Dear Lizzy's Neapolitan papers and vellum. They had that perfect soft pink hue in the papers. I wanted to incorporate the roses in the prompt so I went through all of my floral stamps and luckily found this rose one which I stamped on white cardstock with red ink and then cut them out. They were the perfect handmade accent to my soft card.

Inspired by Stamping #43 Challenge

Hello friends. Sorry this post is coming in a bit late. I'm still getting a hang of the schedule for challenge reveals for Inspired by Stamping. Bear with the newbie here. 

Anyways, if you are coming from the Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge blog you've probably seen all the gorgeous takes on this inspiration board...

I love, love, love the soft color combo! Here's my take on it...

You Make Me Smile card

I took the color scheme from the board as my main inspiration for my card. I love the flower accents and incorporated that through my embossed background as well as my three large pink flowers. I wanted my sentiment to "pop" on the card so I used black ink on the sentiment. After running my floral embossing folder through my die cut machine, I smeared some yellow ink on it to reveal the design better. When inking your embossed image, start lightly and try to color just the raised part of the image. 

I'm inlove with the pennant/flag trend right now. I made my own with some pattern paper and toothpick. I added some rhinestone to give the flag some "shine".
