"His Best Performance" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit)

I can't believe that we are two days away from the weekend. What crafty plans do you have for this weekend? Well I'm here to share my last project from this month's FOTM from The ScrapRoom kit club.
Title: His Best Performance
Products used: Photoplay Paper Red, White & Blue + Embellishment Add-on
Stash items used: Brown ink for edge distressing; Date Stamp; Black Ink pad; Red Rhinestones; “Best” cut from die cut machine; Mini alphabet stickers; Black cardstock
Notes:  I decided to divide the page straight in the middle with my photos all placed on the left and the papers on the right. I blended them together by sprinkling stickers and die cuts to balance the page.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Till next time,
Grace

"Hey Girl Hey" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month Kit)

Here's a double page layout from me using this month's FOTM kit from The ScrapRoom.
Title: Hey Girl Hey
Products used: Illustrated Faith All People All Nations
Stash items used: Brown ink for edge distressing; Date Stamp; Black Ink pad
Notes: Even though I didn’t have much pattern papers to work with anymore, I was still able to pull off this double page layout because I was using a lot of 4x6 photos. They took up the most space on my layout.

I was on a roll with this kit. What will you create today?

"Hello Good Times" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month Kit)

I just love the colors of these papers from Simple Stories. They make me smile (and want to eat something sweet) LOL.
Title: Hello Good times
Products used: Simple Stories Hello Summer + Embellishment Add-on
Stash items used: Vellum; Brown ink for edge distressing; Date Stamp; Black Ink pad; white enamel dots; circle cutter; corner rounder
Notes:  I still had a few bigger scrap pieces from the Simple Stories papers so I made them my background for this 12x12 page. The wave paper was a bit too strong of a background for my photos so I inserted a piece of vellum in between to make my photos stand out better. I incorporated the circles/dots on one of the papers by cutting circle pieces from the striped paper to create my visual triangle. I repeated the circles with the enamel dots that I incorporated in this page.

What will you craft today?

Till next time,
Grace

Beach Themed card (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit)

Hello friends. I will be sharing the extra projects that I was able to squeeze out of this month's ScrapRoom's Flavor of the Month Kit in the next few days. First up are these 'beach themed' cards.

Title: Beach Themed cards
Products used: Carta Bella Summer Splash
Stash items used: Card bases and enamel dots
Notes: I really liked the cut-aparts from one of the papers but I didn’t have any beach themed photos at this moment so I turned them into focal points of some summer themed cards. Because the paper blocks already had an image and some kind of sentiment, creating these cards took no time at all. I added some pink enamel dots from my stash to add dimension to the cards.

So which one did you like the best?
Does these cards make you wanna go to the beach too?

Till next time,
Grace

"Soak Up The Sun" (The ScrapRoom Flavors of the Month kit)

Hi friends. Here's my 4th page using the TSR Flavors of the Month kit. I made a double page layout because you know that's just my JAM. :)
Title: Soak Up The Sun
Designer: Grace Tolman
Products used: Simple Stories Hello Summer
Stash items used: Brown ink for edge distressing; Foam blending tool; Date Stamp; Black Ink pad
Notes: This one was my favorite project with the kit. I love creating double page layouts and incorporating the Simple Stories’ products was very inspiring. I loved all of the papers and couldn’t decide which ones to highlight so I used them all. In order to add all of them without taking away from my photos, I created a ‘quilt’ type of border on the bottom half of my page. Cutting our papers in shapes other than the typical rectangle or square can add a different look to our pages.
I also cut out some solid color papers from the striped pattern paper to add the solid paper strips behind my sun title. They repeated the colors used on the pattern papers on the bottom of the page without having to add any additional design or ‘busyness’ in the page.

And here's the process video from start to finish....

and here are the close ups....

Thank you for stopping by.

I hope to get some other layouts shared within the month.

Till next time,
Grace
