"Easter/Spring card set" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit, March 2019)

Easter is late this year. It's not till April which I'm not quite use to. So to get into the, even it is early, I made some cards with that theme. I used some scraps from my Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom kit club.
Products used: Some FOTM mini kits combined + Embellishment kit
Stash items used: White A2 Card bases; Yellow Cardstock (DCWV); Twine (the Twinery)
Notes:
Since I didn’t make any “Easter” or spring themed pages, I decided to use up the themed products that I got to make some cards. I love how the papers and tags from Echo Park already have the images and words necessary to complete this card in the theme that I want. I didn’t have to do any extra leg work.

Do you like that Easter is late this year?

"Webelos Day Camp" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit, March 2019)

One of the things that I like about the Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom kit club is that we can combine the products from the 4 mini kits and they would still work. In this one I combined the papers from the Heidi Swapp mini kit plus the stickers from the Echo Park collection. What do you think?

Products used: Some FOTM mini kits combined + Embellishment Add-on kit
Stash items used: Letter stickers (Creative Memories, My Little Shoe Box); Border punch (Fiskars)
Notes:
I had a few smaller photos for this event and they happened to be mostly horizontal photos so I laid 8 of them (4 on top and 4 on the bottom) as my “book end” for my layout design. I then placed one of my larger paper scrap and placed that on the center where it housed my title, journaling and three more photos. I also added some stickers to the page to give it that whimsy, child-like design that reminded me of the younger “scout” years of my son.

"Brotherly Love" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit, March 2019)

Hello my friends. Thank you again for stopping by. Today I'm sharing a layout that I created with the lastest Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom kit club. This one was based off of this month's sketch.

Products used: My Mind’s Eye Happy Days + Embellishment Add-on kit
Stash items used: Green  and black cardstock (Core’dinations); Corner rounder punch (EK Success); Label punch (EK Success); Ink (Tea Dye, Distress Mini Ink pad); Letter stickers (My Little Shoebox); Silhouette Cameo machine.
Notes:
This is my take on this month’s sketch. I stayed very similar to the orientation and placement in the sketch. But instead of two vertical photos, I have one of each orientation. I also some accents to the bottom right of the photo so I can create a visual triangle between the flowers in one of the papers, plus some fussy cut ones.

And here's the video for it...

"Let's Go" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit, March 2019)

I love to travel. I love it even more when I get to scrapbook my travel photos. It brings me back to that wonderful moment. The problem is I can't just scrapbook one photo. I need more. And the more, the better. But the problem is how we can incorporate products and fun stuff with a page with lots of of photos. Hopefully this page that I created using the latest Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom kit club will give you some inspiration.

Products used: Crate Paper- Maggie Holmes Sunny Days + Embellishment Add-on kit
Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Distress mini ink pad)
Notes:
This is my page for the recipe assignment this month. I had a lot of photos to document for this particular page. However, despite that, I still had a lot of room to decorate the layout. I used a grid design and designated the open spaces (the ones without photos) as the place to house my papers and embellishments. I love how layering on top of each other can provide color and flair to the page but still leaving plenty of room for the meat of the page (photos, title, journaling).

Here's the process video for this page:

"Time To Have Fun" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit, March 2019)

I love the colors on thist latest Heidi Swapp collection. It is part of the latest Flavors of the month kit from The ScrapRoom kit club. But honestly it was hard for me to combine them. They were so bold and beautiful that together they were a bit overwhelming. But with a few tweaks I got them combined seamlessly. Don't you think so? Do you like bright colors or are you a more subdued palette fan?

Products used: Heidi Swapp Color Fresh + Embellishment Add-on kit
Stash items used: Border punch (Fiskars); Spray Mist (Studio Calico); Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Distress mini ink pad); Staples and Stapler
Notes:
I struggled a bit with the papers in this collection. Not that they’re not gorgeous, but they were packed with so much color and putting them side by side was hard because the eye needed some rest from all of the bold colors and designs. I ended up combining the number papers with the green striped paper. I also liked all of the ephemera that came in the mini kit. I used almost all of them in this page.

"Family Gathering" (The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit, March 2019)

Hello friends. Welcome to a new month. I can't believe that we are already in March. Especially with the snow that we've been getting in my area. I can't wait till we are in the "spring" season.

Today I'm sharing my first layout featuring The ScrapRoom Flavor of the Month kit, March 2019. It features the products from Echo Park.
Products used: Echo Park Spring Fling & Easter Wishes + Embellishment Add-on kit
Stash items used: Yellow cardstock (DCWV); Border punch (Fiskars); Tiny letter stickers (My Mind’s Eye); Brown ink (Tea Dye, Distress Mini Ink pad); Silhouette Cameo Machine
Notes: Even though the event that I scrapbooked here is not a Spring nor Easter theme, I still wanted to use the papers because the bright colors worked well with the colors in my photos.
I wanted to feature one of the pattern papers so I incorporated that in the center of my double page layout. I love how that paper, especially that it stood out against the cardstock background, leads the eye straight to the center of the page.

Here's the process video....

Here are some more close ups too...
