Autumn Treat Boxes (September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club)

Hi crafty peeps! How's it going? Autumn is a great time to start the gift giving season. And what better way than to use some paper scraps and stickers to create some cute treat boxes. These ones were made from leftovers from the September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club

Products used: Carta Bella “Fall Market”
Stash items used: Brown Twine (American Crafts); 123 Punch board (We R Memory Keepers)
Notes:
I usually create three cards every month, but this time I wanted to switch things up a bit. I loved the papers and stickers from the Carta Bella line but I didn’t have any pictures to match so I just made some treat boxes with the themed products.
I used a tutorial from You Tube to create my boxes. You can find it here- https://youtu.be/LgYmZyk4MHg
I wrapped some twine to the belly band of the boxes for a “natural” feel to it.

And here are some close ups....

Will you make one, or 20 of these cute boxes today? If so, let me know what you'll put in them.

Till next time,
Grace

"Love Spring Break" September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club

Hi there my dear crafty friends. Can you believe the page below was made with scraps? Yes! And it's all from the September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club. I love how this kit is always packed with so many products that I can create at least 5 pages and 1 card set or altered item from it.

Products used: Some FOTM mini kits combined + Embellishment kit
Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Border punch (EK Success); White Cardstock
Notes:
This is my “extra layout” for this month. I love how, despite the mini kits being from different companies and with differing themes, they somehow still blend really well together. This layout is an example of that. There’s a little bit from the four collection but they didn’t clash with each other. The bonus, this page is a spring themed page and yet I was still able to use some papers that have a ‘fall” theme to them.

And here are some close ups....

"Explore" September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club

Happy mid month friends. How's your September been? Hope it's going well. Today I'm sharing another layout created with the September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club. It is also my page with a recipe for the subscribers of the kit club. If you wanna learn more about the kit club and what you can get every month, make sure to check out the website here

Products used: American Crafts Shimelle “Field Trip”
Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Vellum (Worldwin Cardstock); Corner rounder (EK Success)
Notes:
This is my recipe layout for this month. I would always lay down my photos first and then add the papers all around it. This allows me to maximize the products that I have, especially the 3 pattern papers that come in each mini kit.
I love how the astronaut and space themed die cuts matched really well with the air and space museum photos that I have.

Here's the video on how I created the page....

"For the Record" September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club

Hi there again. I am a big believer in multi photo pages. I feel like my story telling and documenting is richer when there's more than one photo to preserve the memories. Such was the case with this page. And to make the 6 photos stand out better, I decided to go with a grid design. It's one of the pages I created with the September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club.

Products used: Vicki Boutin “Wildflowers and Honey”
Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Small alphabet stickers (My Mind’s Eye)
Notes:
I used these products for this set of photos because of the vibrant artwork behind one of my photos. I felt the tone of the papers matched the feel of the restaurant that we ate at.
Since I had 6 photos and wanted to only create a single page, I first laid my photos onto my page first then with a ruler, measured the rest of the area so I can cut out papers to fill in those spaces. I also liked how the black cardstock created a good grid for the photos and papers.
To add some dimension to the page, I added some of the die cuts (flowers and heart) with foam adhesive.
There was a die cut “record” word in my kit and I used that as part of my title, I grabbed some smaller alphabet stickers from my stash to complete the title.

Here's my process video for this page...

"Wonderful Birthday" September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club

Hi there my crafty friends. How's your week coming along? I love Fall/Autumn season. I love the crisp air and all of the pumpkin and apple themed foods! But I also love how the September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club has a collection that is non Fall theme. It makes it easy for me to scrap items that are not necessarily within the season.

Products used: My Mind’s Eye “One Fine Day”
Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Distress mini ink pad, Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Chipboard letter stickers (Thickers, American Crafts)
Notes:
These papers were so lovely and fresh that it was just the perfect set to use to document my birthday from a few years back. I usually have my photos in the center, placed horizontally. But I was trying to deviate from my norm so not all of my pages look the same. So to make a “slight” change to my normal design, I turned my photos about 30 degrees so it can look slanted. It worked out just right and I didn’t have to trim any photos.
The stickers were the perfect finishing touches for this page. I added some of them with foam adhesive to give them dimension and the page more interest.

Here's the video on how I created this page...

And here are some more close ups....

Thank you for stopping by.

Tell me, what's your favorite fall themed food? I'm in the mood to try something new.

"Be Unique" September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club

Hello friends and welcome to a new month. That also means, a new set of projects to share. This first one is from the September 2019 Flavors of the Month Kit from The ScrapRoom kit club. It is also my take on this month's sketch.

Products used: Carta Bella “Fall Market” + Embellishment kit
Stash items used: Date stamp (Studio Calico); Ink (Distress mini ink pad, Hybrid Ink My Favorite Things); Circle cutter (Creative Memories)
Notes:
This is my take on this month’s sketch. I liked the banners and circle but I felt like it needed something more so I added the epoxy banner stickers to the top right edge. It also became a visual triangle element which I used to connect with the black title letter words (bottom right) and black heart (center left).
I didn’t have the square photos so instead, I used 4 3x4 photos.
I inked the edged with some orange ink pad so that I can created emphasis to the shapes but also to add more “fall” colors into the page.

Here's the video on how I created my page.....

And here are some more close ups....

So if you had this collection/kit, what would you scrap with it?
