"First Attempt on the Incline Hike" layout

Ok so you are getting a break from the "baby" pages. Today's layout share is a double page spread documenting a hike that my family and I did in 2012. Can't believe it was four years ago!

This was based off of a sketch from a Facebook group that I belong to. The group is called "Stash Busters". Anything that talks about using up stash is my kind of people. :)

I used some hodge podge of letter stickers again here. I have to say, how I wish that I didn't have to but if it helps me use up my stash, it's all good.

I also finished up some stickers that I had a few little pieces left over on it. Like this silver frame and the cork hearts.

The clouds are from an Amy Tangerine sticker sheet. I adhered some of them with foam adhesive for some added dimension.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a creative rest of the day.

Till next time,
Grace

"You + Me" layout

It's Wednesday! I hope that you guys are having a great week so far and you're able to be creative in one way or another.

Today's layout share was inspired by a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges blog

Part of my "obsession" with sketches is it provides me with a design guide or foundation for my page which leaves me plenty of time to create and document my family's memories. Do you feel the same way about sketches? I think that with our own photos/stories/products, we can make any sketch our own.

For this page, I used some left over papers from homemade kits that I've put together in the past. I was also inspired to use up little bits of stickers (like the puffy ones) from sheets that just needed to be used up.

I also added some hearts that I had cut out from using my Cameo machine.

The title is from a Thickers pack that I believe is from the Cedar Lane collection of Pink Paislee.

The washi tapes on the bottom are from my Pocket letter stash. Sorry I don't have references for them.

Thank you again for stopping by.

Hope you'll come back again soon.

Till next time,
Grace

"We Are Seeing Twins" layout

Hi crafty friends. Thank you for stopping by. My layout share today was inspired by the latest sketch challenge at the Paper Issues blog as well as an "Anything goes" challenge over at the Clique Kits blog.

For the sketch challenge at Paper Issues, I turned the sketch on it's side so I can use it for my horizontal photos. I am still plugging along my Baby album so I hope you don't mind all of the baby pages that I've been sharing.

I also used a few letter stickers here. I am seeing my stash in a new light lately and I am liking the long titles so I can use up my sticker stash.

The twist for the Clique kit blog challenge was to use sequins. I have a few in my stash and decided to use them as a finishing touch accent for the page. I used them in three different parts of my page to create a visual triangle.

I used some Citrus Bliss 6x6 papers for my circle accents. The clothes on my son's and his friend's outfit had yellow and green in it so used that color for my circles.

Thank you so much for stopping by. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment below.

"{heart} this" layout

Happy Monday crafty friends. I'm back with another layout (from my Baby album) which was inspired by a challenge over at the Scrapbook Circle kit club blog

It was also inspired by the following sketch over at the Scrapbook Challenges blog

The challenge was to use pocket cards on a scrapbook page. I love pocket cards but don't really do much "pocket scrapbooking" so this challenge was what I needed to look at those 3x4 and 4x6 cards in a different light.

The cards that I chose to use on this page is from a cut apart paper from Elle's Studio. The 4x6 card was cut up and I placed them above and under my photo.

The 2 3x4 cards were used for my title and handwritten journaling.

I had this small cut apart paper from the 6x6 Citrus Bliss paper pad from Pink Paislee that had an empty circle in the center. I added a heart sticker from the Snap collection of Simple Stories.

These paper banners/pennants were also from the 6x6 paper Citrus Bliss paper collection.

I added some enamel dots to highlight my title as well as add some accent to the page. The dots are from Basic Grey and Doodlebug Design Inc.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Please come back soon.

Till next time,
Grace

"Snuggle Up" layout

Hello, hello! My last page share for the week was inspired by the following sketch from the ScrapMuch? blog.

I love the design and how the elements are focused on the center. I have these photos of me and my little guy when he was less than a month old and the sketch was perfect to highlight them.

I know this is going in his baby album but I couldn't resist adding some flowers. I picked some blue ones though so I hope he will be ok with that?
One of my favorite collections lately is the Memorandum line from Pink Paislee. It had a page that is full of tabs. I used one paper and had just cut up all of the labels and I sprinkle those on my pages. It is perfect for journaling and adding little bits and pieces of papers in and around my page.

I also wanted to use up some brads and they were the perfect finishing touch for my flowers. I also added some tabs from Chic Tags and a heart cut out from paper using my Cameo machine.

The title is from a Thickers pack from Pink Paislee. I love how the silver glitter stands out against the darker photos. I also added some stars on the background using a homemade star stencil and some blue stamping ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
If you have any questions about this page and the products that I used, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment below.

Till next time,
Grace

"Choose Happy" layout

Happy Thursday. How's the weather where you are? Things are starting to "melt" from the snow we got last weekend so I'm excited to be out and about again. I just hope that we are finally done with snow and I could start looking forward to warmer days.

Today's layout share is a page inspired by a sketch challenge over at the ScrapRoom kit club blog. The winner of the challenge will be their guest designer so I'm crossing my fingers on this one. *wink*

Like I said yesterday, I'm slowly plugging along with my third child's baby album. I'm so glad that I am not waiting too long to work on his album. Every time I look at his baby pictures, I'm in awe at how fast he is growing up. Makes me cherish the moments we have today even more.

So the title was a free cut file that I had cut with my Cameo and I added it to the page using some foam adhesive. The white is a stark contrast to the background which made it pop really well. I also added some wink of Stella glitter on the cut file but you can't hardly see the shimmer on the photo. Sorry about that!

I used some 6x6 papers from the Citrus Bliss collection of Pink Paislee. There was a sheet with some small cut apart papers and I turned them into tags.

This stamp is from a Heidi Swapp word stamp I got at Hobby Lobby. I did some third generation stamping for some subtle effect. I also used the word as a prompt for my journaling.

The washi tape that I used all around my page is from Freckled Fawn. I love the different designs that I got from this one roll of tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope this page inspired you to create and document some scrapbook pages for you and your loved ones.

Till next time,
Grace

"Gender Reveal" layout

Hello my crafty friends. Happy 'hump' day. Today I'm sharing a page inspired by one of the latest sketches over at the Sketch N Scrap blog.

I liked the banner strips on the sketch, It was the perfect accent to use some of my scrap papers. I have been busy working on my third child's baby album. So you might be seeing lots of baby themed pages in my blog for the next few posts. *wink*

I had put together a kit a while back before I started on my baby album. I'm almost out of a lot of items so I used two different letters for my title. In my publishing days, I would not have done this, but since I'm now scrapbooking solely on preserving memories for my family, I went with it. Something about the "hodge podge" look of the letters is kinda cool and refreshing in my eyes.

I decided to add the pen stitched circle accents a little higher on my page (versus on the sketch) to accommodate my larger photos. I also made the third photo (on the far right) overlap with the other two, again because my pictures were larger in size.

I added some stickers and the 'boy' accent is a cut out from paper.

I added some pen lines and then handwritten my journaling. I actually video taped my children during this "gender reveal" event and I plan to burn that on a CD and then add it to the back of this page for a memorabilia.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Till next time,
Grace

"Grateful Heart" layout April *Stick it down challenge blog*

Hello, hello!
I'm excited to share with you the latest sketch over at the Stick it Down blog and the layout that was inspired by the sketch.

This page was also inspired by the prompt over at the Scrap the Boys blog

I know that I don't do much pages about the men/boys in my life so this prompt came at the perfect time.

Here are some more details of the page...

I used my Cameo cutting machine to create my title plus the hearts that I sprinkled around the page. To add some texture to the hearts, I added dots of glossy accents to the heart. If you are doing the same technique, just make sure you let it dry completely before you touch it.

To add some interest to my cut out, I added some pen stitching around the word "heart".

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you check out the Stick it Down blog for more inspirations from the other design team members.

Till next time,
Grace

"Helen Hunt Falls" layout

Hello my dear friends.

Today's layout share is a double page spread. It's one of my last pages from March.

You wanna check out how I created the page? Just click on the video below...

Most of the papers used on this page was from the Memorandum line of Pink Paislee. The exception was the butterflies which I created with a free cut file and my Cameo die cut machine. I used some scraps for them.

I am getting back into using my Thickers again. For some reason, I go through phases of using and not using them. I don't know why that is, its just is!

I added some gold splatters from the Heidi Swapp gold mist to finish off the page.

I also added some wood embellishments from We R Memory Keepers around the page.

Thank you for stopping by.

Till next time,
Grace
