I made this 8 1/2x11" page with the above sketch. I did turn it on it's side and used circles instead of squares.

FREE Sketches to jumpstart your scrapbook creativity

Hello crafty friends. It's been forever since I posted anything on this blog. I have goals to change that in 2022. 

Anyways, I was going through some files at the end of last year and discovered that I have kept some scrapbook sketches that I made a long time ago as part of my design team responsibilities for a kit club. I thought I'd share them in one post for all of you to view, and/or use. 

And because I couldn't help but be inspired myself, my next YouTube series would be to use these sketches in creating my next pages. You can check out those videos by clicking on the YouTube sidebar to the right of this blog.

Warmest Wishes Card

Hello my dear crafty friends.
It's been a crazy few weeks all over the world. I pray that you are safe and healthy as we all ride out the pandemic we call COVID-19. My kids and I are following the stay-at-home order while hubby is working hard since his job is considered an essential one.
I have found that I've held onto my love of papercrafting more now than I have in the past few months. It has helped me cope and the ability to make something with my hands have soothe the anxious feelings of an unknown future.
And since I had the time, I decided to join in some challenges. The first one would be last week's sketch challenge over at the My Favorite Things blog. Here's the sketch...

And here's my take on it....

I recently purchased some dies and stamps from MFT and I was eager to "play" with them so this sketch came at a good time. Since I didn't have any tag similar to the sketch, I decided to use a rectangle stitch die for my frame.

I did use the scallop frame from the Blueprints #27 for my background and I love it. You will probably see more of that die in my future cards. It's just so versatile.

I also wanted to do some coloring and found this cute image from one of my Waffle flower stamps as my main accent. Then I used a sentiment from a Holiday stamp set from MFT. I love that "warmest wishes" can be for anything other than a winter sentiment.

New Scrapbook Sketches Organizer

Hello, hello dear blog friends. It's been more than a hot minute since I've posted anything here. If you have not checked out my YouTube channel, link on the right side bar of this blog, please check it out. I'm more active there than here.

But since I have you here now, check out my new organization system for my scrapbook and card sketches. I don't really print all of them out now. That's what my Pinterest boards are for. But for those paper copies that I still have, I wanted/needed a new way of storing them. This time I went with the binder system. I've been using it for a couple of months now and so far I've loved it.

And as promised. here is the LINK for the free printable I created. I'm new to all of this "sharing" document type of thing so if it doesn't work, please leave me a comment on this post so I can try to trouble shoot it.
