"Happy Pinewood Derby" layout

Today's layout was inspired by this sketch from the Sketch N Scrap blog

I liked the grid design but since I had small photos, I decided to put the photos off center on my 12x12 page. I also liked how the sketch gave me the idea of layering over multiple "frames" or blocks. It helped me do some fun layering with scraps and other papers that I've been holding onto for a while.

These images are from a fun scout activity for my son and so the huge "happy" glitter thickers from the Cedar Lane collection of Pink Paislee was perfect as my title.

I added some stars and glittered hearts cause, why not?

I used some small 2x2 blocks from a 4x4 Teresa Collins paper pad for my accent and journaling.

So I wanna know, what's your favorite way of adding journaling to your pages? Handwritten, typed, hidden?

Till next time,
Grace

This is a fantastic layout and great take on the sketch! I used to not like using my own handwriting on my layouts, but lately that's about all I do! If I have a lot to say it usually gets typed up. Thanks so much for joining us at Sketch N Scrap!
