10 years layout *challenge entry*

Happy Monday friends. I have realized two things recently...one that the whole scrapbooking "industry" is changing. It's definitely different now compared to five (or even two) years ago and second, I scrapbook because at the root of it all, I love it and this is how I show my love for my family. Documenting both the special occasion as well as the everyday moments shows that I care about them and that I don't want to forget the special memories we share.

With that being said, I'm making a conscious effort to continue doing what I do not for design team responsibilities or the need to add another project to my "published item" list. Gone are those days. This week, I'm sharing some projects that I made for me and my family with the help of challenges. I love challenges, they take me out of my comfort zone. But I'm not playing along because I want to be in the DT or that I want to be "noticed". Nope. I'm playing because I am inspired and it helps me use up my stash.

So how about let's start with this one....

I made the layout below using this sketch from Stick it Down blog

I also used the following prompts from Scrap our stash challenge....
Create a layout and you must include the specific items and quantities on the list below:
5 ~ Patterned Papers
4 ~ Stickers or Cardstock Stickers
3 ~ Numbers
2 ~ Stamps or Rub ons
1 ~ Paint or mist

and here's the result...
These are images from when my husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary two years ago. Yes I'm that behind and no I'm not at all sad about it.

I like the single photo sketch but we all know that most of the time we have more than one photo. It's a good thing that I printed these images off in a 2x3 size so I was able to fit them all in one page.

As for the breakdown of the prompts, here it goes...
5 ~ Patterned Papers (I actually used 6 counting the journaling block cut from pattern paper)
4 ~ Stickers or Cardstock Stickers (title, word stickers and even dimensional ones which are the pinwheel and camera)
3 ~ Numbers (the numbered journaling, handwritten 2012 and #2 on the bottom)
2 ~ Stamps or Rub ons (the stamped numbers by the photos and the stamped sentiment on the bottom)
1 ~ Paint or mist (black speck of mists scattered in the layout)

Please stop by everyday this week for a new project from me and if you are so inclined, leave me a comment and tell me what has been your driving force lately to continue plugging along in making your papercrafting projects.

Till next time,
Grace
