Field Day scrapbook layouts

Hello my dear friends and welcome to another week of layout shares. I have been busting out some pages as I enjoy my "summer vacation" from school. I'm taking this time to really make a dent with some crafty projects cause I know that when school is on, there is very little time for my creative pursuits. Do you feel the same way when our other "jobs/roles" take over our lives?

Part of my need to be efficient with my scrapping lately is to use a sketch for more than one layout. An example of this is this sketch from the Scrapbook Challenges blog. I used it to create two individual layouts. The photos are from the same event but I plan on putting them into my kids individual albums.

For this first one, I opted to just use strips of one paper on the ends instead of blocks of various designs. I thought that the arrows were already quite busy that there was no need to add anymore. I did like the large strip for photo in the center of the sketch. It allowed me to add five 3x4 photos plus one block of paper for journaling.

Last May I went to the Scrapbook Expo and took a class from Bella Blvd. They gave us a ton of products so I pulled out that bag and used the products in it to make my this page. I popped up some of the stickers with fun foam to make my own dimensional adhesive.

The top right photo had quite a big white space on it so I used that spot for my title. I added some starts to the centers of the D to add some dimension.

For this page, I have a circle die with stitching designs on them and when I ran them through my die cut machine, it created a framed circle from the negative of the cuts as well. I saved them and used that on this page. I added scraps of paper on the backs of them in which I added some embellishments on some and one housed my journaling.

I'm sure you can tell by now that I treated the photos exactly the same way as my first page. I only moved where the 3x4 paper would go in the center.

I love how these two pages turned out and totally different from each other, even though they were both inspired by the same sketch. I hope this share inspired you.

Till next time,
Grace
