"Celebrate Easter 2013" layout

Hi guys. I'm here to share another layout. This one was inspired by the latest sketch from the Stuck?! challenge blog.

This is also my entry for Mercy Tiara's 27 day challenge. The prompt for the month of July was to scrapbooking a favorite holiday and why I love it so much.

With this page, I wanted to document my favorite part of Easter, that is our annual family photo. My family puts up with me as I plan the color scheme and also the coordinating outfits. We wear our outfits on Easter Sunday and then take pictures after church. We've been doing it for about 10 years now.

With this layout, I wanted to go with a "spring" color scheme and so I used my Jen Hatfield collection from Pebbles. I love how the collection makes the dark blues in our outfits stand out really well. I also like the dainty/feminine touch of the papers.

Because there were a lot of great images from the collection, I used them to make my embellishments. Here I punched out some words and flowers with my 1 3/4 circle punch and then added a scallop punch on the back. I also hand cut the flowers from paper and added that to my page.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for another new page.

Till next time,
Grace
