Friendship card *Inspired By Stamping*

Hello stamping friends. Today i'm sharing a card I created with the new Friends Forever set.
water lily card

I initially wanted the stamp to be simple and so I inked it up with black ink and stamped it on green paper. But I found that it needed to have more color so I used some colored pencil to bring my flower to life.  I added an glittered emboss sentiment and finished it off with some homemade enamel dots.

Today was...layout *Inspired By Stamping*

Happy Monday crafty friends. Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the Pretty Planners set from Inspired By Stamping.

Today was...layout
I love the small words and accents from this stamp set. I was able to put together my own title block with the words and the check box. So fun!
These photos are from three years ago when we went up one of the famous peaks in our area. Because I had a ton of pictures, I decided to add the pattern paper strips around the photos so it didn't distract from my photos. The small accents helped me add some dimension within my page without taking too much from my photos.

The above two border strips are from the same stamp set. I love how I can create personalized paper strips with stamps.

These tiny banners are also part of the stamp set. It had the circle in the middle which I filled up with buttons.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a crafty week. To learn more about this stamp set and the other new sets, visit Inspired by Stamping store here.

Till next time,

Ribbon magnets *Ribbons Unlimited Inc.*

Hi there ribbon friends. Grace here to share with you a very fun and easy way to use up your ribbon for home décor. Like it or not, magnets, especially those that we use on our refrigerator doors are very handy. And usually we just use the ones that we get free from our favorite auto mechanic shop or from our realtor. Well I’m here to share with you a fun and easy way to turn ribbon into magnets and make your refrigerator door’s most useful accessory stylish.

Instructions:
1.       Gather your supplies

2.       Mark a small circle from felt piece using a marker and a round shape template then cut it out.

3.       Dab some hot glue on one side of the felt circle and wrap some ribbon around it, folding it a few times to create the rosette effect. Repeat it until you’ve gone all the way around the felt piece. Trim the edge of the ribbon and tuck behind the folded ribbons for a finished look. Repeat again to create a second rosette over the first one.

4.       Attach a flair on the center of the rosette ribbon using more hot glue. Fold the ribbon, cut the ends into notches and hot glue it on the back of the ribbon.

5.       Repeat the process using the red ribbon.

6.       Hot glue a piece of magnet on the back side of the magnets.

Here’s a look at the finished project and some more details…

Thank you for joining me today and I hope I’ve inspired you to add some ribbon in your next home décor project.

Hello Summer card *Inspired By Stamping*

Hi there friends and happy Wednesday. This week Inspired By Stamping released their new stamp sets for the month. I love the summer set and used it in my card.

Hello Summer card

I wanted to challenge myself to just use inks and a white cardstock. Don't get me wrong, I love paper and patterns and designs. I guess that's why in this card, I wanted to stretch my creative mind and do something that is not within my "comfort zone".
I also used some non themed colors for this card. I used pinks, turquoise, copper and black.

The one thing I would like to learn more about is coloring. I think the palm tree would look better if I was able to add some detailed coloring on it. Do you guys have any videos or tutorials you found to be most helpful for a beginner like me?

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure you stop by the Inspired By Stamping store to see what's new.

Till next time,
Grace

The Sweet life layout *Inspired By Stamping*

Hello Inspired By Stamping friends. Today I'd like to share a layout I created using a tag and banner stamp from the IBS store.
the sweet life layout

When it comes to documenting my life, I tend to take lots of pictures of an event/activity. Sometimes I just use a one or a couple and other times I feel like it's best to show off all of the little details of that event. Such was the case for this particular scrapbook event. I wanted to remember all of our happy faces when we ate our scrumptious treat as well as the ambiance of the place we went to. So because I already had a ton of photos, I used some tag stamps to add design on one edge of the page without causing too much distraction for my photos. I also used a white background so that the papers and embellishments can pop without causing a headache for the viewer. Here are some more details...

I used some of the pennant banner stamps and created my own flags. I just added a stick pin behind the stamped images and adhered it to the page. I had to cut off some of the toothpicks cause it was a bit long.
I love using my homemade enamel dots (created from perler beads) to add some texture and dimension to my projects.

Great Sunshine and Outdoors layout *Ribbons Unlimited Inc.*

Hello ribbon friends. I love looking at trends and trying them out in my papercrafting. One of the big trends right now that I’m loving is using your diecut machine in creating one of a kind elements in your page. I’ve had a few die cut machines but my go to right now is the Cameo from Silhouette. Recently I played around with it and cut some Summer themed elements. I don’t like wastes so I kept the negative part of the cut. With the help of some ribbons from Ribbons Unlimited, I was able to make use of this negative cuts and bring an interesting texture to my title.

Instructions:
 1. Cut out two pieces of white cardstock measuring 11 x 11 ½” and adhere to the blue cardstock.

2. Cut out the negative title cuts and adhere ribbon behind the paper. I used my Xyron adhesive maker to make sure that the ribbon is well adhered on the back of the cardstock. Trim the ribbon.

3. Adhere the title block on the page. Adhere the rest of the elements.
4. Cut out two long and two short strips from the same ribbon. Cut a notch on one side of each of them and adhere at two different places of the page.
5. Handwrite your journaling and add the stickers and chipboard for embellishment.

Here’s a look at the finished page and a few more detailed shots….

Thank you for joining me today and hope you’ll use your ribbons with the latest trends today.

Till next time,
Grace

G & E layout *Inspired By Stamping*

Hi there IBS friends. Have you ever felt that there are certain things that just needed to be documented right away as a scrapbook page? I was going through my pictures recently and saw this photo of my parents from about three years ago and it reminded me of the health issues that my father had to endure in the beginning of the year. It made me want to write about how much strength and hope I took away from the way my mom and dad tackled this challenge. Here's the page that came about....

g&e layout

I used a few IBS stamps and the new Fancy label dies 3 set to make the page "pretty" without taking away from the main reason I created the page.
